Quotes

One of my favorite quotes I've heard is one from Stonewall Jackson, where he speaks of how he is able to be so brave with bullets flying by his head.
Captain, my religious belief teaches me to feel as safe in battle as in bed. God has fixed the time for my death. I do not concern myself about that, but to be always ready, no matter when it may overtake me. That is the way all men should live, and then all would be equally brave.
Such a great quote, and so true. Like the General's quotes, many popular quotes are famous because of who said them or how applicable the quotes were. There are others, though, that are famous for their unintentional complexity, infamous if you will. In other words, they make absolutely no sense, but are funny to read. The list below is just a few quotes that my friends and I accidentally said while we hung around in college. They are unscripted, and were said to actually make sense.
- "I can't believe there aren't as many people as there already is here."
- "There is no back talking behind someone's back."
- "I have no sense of time since the time's changed."
- "Did it froze?"
- "You have to be where you're at."
- "The best things are always what you like."
- Person A: "I can't remember the last time I didn't go to bed before 12."
Person B: "I can't remember the last time I went to bed after 12." - "Is it cold enough for shorts out there?"
You get a glimpse of what my college life consisted of. It was a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
