I can't take credit for this idea. Rather, I got it from an old college buddy named Robby Osting. This game is called the Perfect Order, and it requires skill, wit, and a lot of hunger. The rules of engagement are simple: give your order to the waiter/waitress at a restaurant without them ever asking any question about what you are ordering. The concept is easy to understand, but the game can be very challenging for even the most seasoned orderer. For example, if I order a steak, most times they will ask me how I want it cooked. You have to beat them to this by telling them how you want it cooked, along with what side you want and which steak sause you want to use. The key is to prepare in advance and practice your order in front of a mirror. That's the only way I have had success.

Just a while back, I reached the peak and finished strong with a perfect order at Outback Steakhouse (where they apparently have no rules). I remember it quite vividly. I ordered an Outback Special, 9 ounce, medium well, house salad with ranch dressing, cheese and lettuce only on the salad with extra ranch on the side, and finally cheese fries as my side item. The waitress knew she had been defeated and quietly went on to the next person. I ate every bite of my food, too, just to rub it in her face.
