Google Chat in Gmail

Something cool just showed up in my Gmail. They are now going to start saving my Google Talk conversations in my email and later allow me to chat within Gmail. They don't say anything about this being a new feature, so I wonder what's up.
I just tried it out, and it works like a charm, saving the entire conversation in a thread and allowing me to search it. It's turned off by default, so to get it working, you must first turn it on in your settings.
